Fund Compliance Monitoring Manager (Malaysia/India)

About the role

The Fund Compliance Monitoring Manager will be based in Malaysia and report to the functional head of fund compliance. The role supports fiduciary and fund services operations across ten regions, ensuring that investment funds comply with regulatory requirements, prospectus terms and internal guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily, weekly and periodic compliance checks on investment and borrowing limits, liquidity, leverage, concentration limits and reporting timelines.
• Monitor adherence to fund prospectuses, offering documents, investment management agreements and side letters.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trade investment guideline monitoring, including issuer limits, sector caps, counter‑party risk and ESG restrictions.
• Investigate post‑trade alerts in Charles River/Excel, resolve escalations and document outcomes.
• Prepare fund performance measurement reports using Statpro (allocation, risk analysis, factsheets).
• Oversee testing of Charles River and Statpro Revolution systems.
• Identify, investigate and document compliance breaches and rule exceptions, coordinating root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Escalate material issues to senior management, fund boards and regulators as required.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of the compliance monitoring framework, including automated rules and manual checks.
• Maintain audit trails, support internal and external audits and ensure policy documents are up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fund compliance monitoring or related fiduciary services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for investment funds.
• Ability to work across multiple regions and coordinate with global stakeholders.
