Gender-Based Violence Coordinator (FTA)

About the role

The Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Coordinator will be based at the UNFPA Kenya Country Office, providing high‑level technical expertise to manage and support the implementation of the Kenya CSEA and GBV Prevention and Response Support Programme. The role focuses on delivering an integrated, survivor‑centred response ecosystem while ensuring compliance with environmental, social and safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee programme planning, implementation, and monitoring for CSEA and GBV prevention and response across Kenya.
• Provide technical guidance to implementing partners, government agencies and civil society on survivor‑centred case management, referral systems and grievance mechanisms.
• Ensure programme compliance with the Environmental and Social Plan, PSEA standards and donor requirements.
• Facilitate coordination among UN agencies, development partners, private sector actors and other stakeholders.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and knowledge management, including field missions, data analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in GBV, child sexual exploitation and abuse prevention and response programmes.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with government counterparts, NGOs and international partners.
• Experience in programme management, technical support and compliance monitoring.
