General Manager for TVET Institution

About the role

A well‑established Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution in Kenya is seeking an experienced, strategic and results‑driven General Manager to provide senior leadership across multiple branches.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior management leadership and coordination across several branches and key organisational functions.
• Drive organisational growth, performance and operational effectiveness.
• Lead management teams and ensure accountability for agreed targets, KPIs and deliverables.
• Oversee academic, administrative and service‑delivery performance.
• Ensure quality assurance, regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
• Maintain productive relationships with regulators, industry partners and other key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Management or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Valid TVETA Trainer/Instructor Licence and recognised Pedagogy Certification (both mandatory).
• Strong senior management and leadership experience, preferably within TVET, education or training sector.
• Proven track record in organisational growth, performance improvement and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep understanding of TVET quality assurance, regulatory compliance and institutional governance.
• Excellent strategic planning, performance management and people‑management capabilities.
