General Manager - Pension

About the role

The General Manager - Pension is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and operational excellence of the pension business. The role leads the development of innovative pension products, manages distribution channels and ensures compliance with regulatory standards, while building a robust pension portfolio and improving customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall pension business strategy, identify new market opportunities and build relationships with regulators, trustees and key stakeholders.
• Drive growth through innovative pension products and solutions, oversee distribution channels (agents, brokers, partnerships) and monitor market trends and competitors.
• Ensure efficient administration of pension schemes, including contributions, benefits and customer support, and implement risk management frameworks.
• Oversee accurate, timely reporting to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Lead, mentor and develop the pension team, fostering innovation, collaboration and accountability.
• Drive profitability by optimizing revenue streams and controlling costs, and oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Actuarial Science or a related field; CFA, ACCA or an MBA highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, including at least 10 years in pension management.
• Proven track record of growing and managing a pension portfolio.
• Experience leading large teams and managing distribution channels.
• Strong familiarity with pension regulations and industry standards.
