General Worker - Nairobi

About the role

The General Worker supports day-to-day production, warehouse and operational activities at Q-Sourcing's Nairobi site. The role covers handling materials, keeping the workplace clean, supporting production processes, loading and offloading products, and complying with company safety and quality standards. The position reports to the QSSK Key Accounts Executive/Administrator.

Key responsibilities

• Production support: assist in production, inspection, packaging and palletizing; sort, pack, label and palletize finished products; supply production lines with materials and packaging; remove defective products and report quality issues; support machine operators.
• Warehouse and logistics: load and offload raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods; arrange products in storage areas; help with stock movement and inventory counts; handle products carefully to reduce damage and wastage.
• Housekeeping: keep production and warehouse areas clean and orderly, clean equipment, tools and workstations, dispose of waste according to company procedure and follow hygiene standards.
• Safety and compliance: follow safety policies, use PPE, report unsafe conditions and accidents, and take part in safety training and toolbox meetings.

Required profile

• KCSE certificate or equivalent, with basic literacy and numeracy.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, FMCG or factory operations is an added advantage.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, strong work ethic and reliability.
• Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, teamwork, time management and punctuality.
