Global Lead Project Manager – Remote (Kenya)

About the role

The Global Lead Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between the project sponsor and Thermo Fisher Scientific, overseeing the end‑to‑end delivery of clinical trial projects. This remote position requires strong financial stewardship, risk management, and the ability to drive cross‑functional teams to meet quality, time, and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact between sponsor and organization, ensuring clear communication and adherence to escalation pathways.
• Lead cross‑functional project teams, managing scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
• Oversee vendor management, contract negotiations, and out‑of‑scope activities.
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with ICH‑GCP, regulatory, and project‑specific requirements.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Global Lead Project Manager in clinical trials.
• Minimum 5 years managing end‑to‑end vendor relationships across multiple vendor types.
• Advanced knowledge of therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Gastrointestinal, or Neuroscience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong project‑management fundamentals (time, cost, quality) and financial acumen.
• Effective oral and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
