Graduate Intern – Enterprise Development (RANGE Program)

About the role

Join Mercy Corps as a Graduate Intern in Enterprise Development, supporting the RANGE Program’s Market Systems Development objectives in northern Kenya. You will work closely with the County Coordinator to engage private‑sector partners, entrepreneurs and market actors, gaining hands‑on experience in development programming and partnership management.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, profile and engage potential private‑sector partners through market scans, stakeholder mapping and outreach.
• Conduct basic financial and market analysis of business opportunities and partnership proposals.
• Monitor partnership implementation by tracking work plans, budgets, milestones and performance data.
• Prepare progress reports and recommendations to inform adaptive management.
• Facilitate collaboration among private‑sector partners, county governments, local implementing partners and community institutions.
• Document emerging innovations, lessons learned and contribute to knowledge‑management processes.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with interest in international development, livelihoods or market systems.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
