Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant – ITT Pathway

About the role

This is a full‑time Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant position within a highly inclusive secondary school in Central London. The role provides a structured pathway into the school’s fully supported Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme, ideal for graduates aiming for a long‑term teaching career.

Key responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in Mathematics.
• Deliver targeted interventions and academic mentoring under the guidance of experienced teachers.
• Assist in raising attainment levels through personalised support and classroom assistance.
• Collaborate with a team of mentors to develop classroom practice and leadership potential.

Required profile

• UK undergraduate degree with a 2:1 or higher, preferably in Mathematics or a related STEM subject.
• Strong A‑Level results; GCSE English and Maths grade 4/C or above.
• Passion for education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of secondary‑school mathematics curricula.
