Handball Coach for University Sports Program

About the role

The university seeks a dedicated Handball Coach to deliver physical education and sports coaching that enhances student fitness, skill development, teamwork and overall well‑being. The role involves planning and delivering practical lessons across a range of sports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver practical physical education lessons and training sessions for handball and other sports.
• Coach students in netball, hockey, volleyball, rugby, soccer, basketball, swimming and related activities.
• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback and support continuous improvement.
• Identify talented students, prepare teams for competitions and organise sports events and tournaments.
• Ensure safety, proper use and maintenance of facilities and equipment, applying first‑aid and CPR as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Sports Science or Physical Education; a Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
• Relevant playing or coaching experience in multiple sports, especially handball.
• First‑aid/CPR certification and knowledge of sports safety and injury prevention.
• Registration or accreditation with a national sports or coaching body where applicable.
