Head of Data & Analytics

About the role

Jacaranda Health is looking for a Head of Data & Analytics to shape its data strategy, analytics infrastructure and monitoring & evaluation functions. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with product, technology, research and programme teams to turn data into actionable insight that drives impact across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a 3‑5 year data and analytics strategy aligned with organisational goals.
• Lead the design and execution of analytical approaches to assess programme performance, health outcomes and theory of change.
• Oversee data collection, management, quality assurance and governance across multiple country programmes.
• Partner with internal teams to embed data‑driven decision‑making into product development and programme design.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to donors, research collaborators and other external partners.
• Build and manage a high‑performing data and analytics team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data, analytics or M&E functions in a complex, multi‑country environment.
• Strong understanding of public health systems and experience working with ministries of health or similar stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership, donors and research partners.
