About the role
The Head of Department will lead the ICT & Engineering - Computer Science department at Zetech University, overseeing program development, admissions, and academic quality.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee program development and review processes.
- Participate in approving student admissions for all department programs.
- Orient new students registered in the department.
- Manage teaching and examination processes to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor student progression, graduation, and class attendance.
- Resolve student and staff concerns promptly.
- Handle people management, including performance, attendance, leave, and discipline.
Required profile
- PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education Technology or related field from an accredited university.
- MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university.
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university.
- At least three years of university‑level teaching experience.
- Minimum one year of management experience.
- Publications and participation in academic conferences, seminars or workshops.
