Head of Finance

About the role

BrighterMonday Consulting is hiring a Head of Finance in Nairobi (Westlands) to report to the CEO, Managing Director or Board of Directors. The role provides strategic financial leadership, governance oversight, financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, statutory compliance, financial reporting, risk management, internal controls and commercial support across the organisation and its business operations.

• Financial leadership, reporting and analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Treasury and cash flow management
• Tax and statutory compliance
• Risk management and internal controls
• Tendering and commercial support
• Business development support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or a related field
• Mandatory: CPA (Kenya) and active membership of ICPAK; added advantage: ACCA, CIMA, CFA, corporate governance or risk management certification
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Experience in multi-business environments preferred

The successful candidate may also be expected to support affiliated business units, entities, projects, branches, subsidiaries or future ventures. Key performance indicators include timely management accounts, 100% statutory compliance, clean audit outcomes, effective cash flow management and successful tender support. The salary range is KES 80,000 per month.
