Head of Finance – Retail Development & Interior Solutions

About the role

The Head of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership for a leading Kenyan retail development and interior solutions company, partnering with the Managing Director and senior leadership to drive sustainable growth across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, advising on performance, investments, risks and growth opportunities.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, project finance, treasury, cash‑flow management and working capital across regional operations.
• Maintain robust financial and operational controls, enterprise risk management and compliance with IFRS, tax, statutory and governance requirements.
• Provide strategic oversight of procurement, supply‑chain finance, HR and Administration functions, ensuring effective people management and operational support.
• Lead and develop high‑performing Finance, HR and Administration teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent required; Master’s preferred.
• 10–15 years progressive finance experience, preferably in project‑based industries such as construction, interior fit‑outs or retail rollouts.
• Proven experience managing multi‑country/regional operations in East Africa with strong knowledge of tax, regulatory and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑cultural teams, manage change and support senior‑level decision making.
