Head of HR Services

About the role

Career Directions Limited (CDL) is looking for a Head of HR Services who reports to the GCEO. The role turns HR into a true business partner, shaping and driving CDL's people strategy across workforce planning, organisation design, talent, culture, performance, reward and people risk. The central focus is getting the right people in the right roles at the right level and building the organisation needed for the future.

Key responsibilities

• Design and drive the HR strategy and annual HR plan aligned with business strategy and GCEO priorities, and advise the GCEO and management on people decisions.
• Lead enterprise-wide workforce planning, organisation design and restructuring, job analysis and competency frameworks, and manpower productivity.
• Build a long-term talent and succession strategy, leadership pipeline and high-potential employee programme.
• Design leadership development and executive coaching programmes and coach leaders across the business.
• Own the employee engagement strategy, culture initiatives, employee experience and change management.
• Design and own the performance management framework and measure performance effectiveness.
• Own the learning and development strategy, training needs analysis and career development pathways.
• Set the employee relations strategy, govern complex cases, lead HR policy development and identify and mitigate HR risk.
• Design and oversee the compensation and benefits strategy, including salary benchmarking and the reward and recognition framework.
• Establish HR analytics dashboards, own HR budgeting and workforce cost analysis, develop HR KPIs and lead HR projects and transformation.

Required profile

• Mandatory MBA or Master's degree in Human Resource Management.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including a strategic HR leadership role in a large organisation.
• Membership with a recognised HR professional body (e.g. IHRM).

Required skills

• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Sound knowledge of labour laws and HR best practice.
