Head of MEP Business

About the role

Master Power Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Head of MEP Business to lead growth, delivery and financial performance of its MEP EPC business across Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. The role owns the full commercial cycle from business development to cash collection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the MEP business growth strategy, building a qualified pipeline across residential, hospitality, retail, commercial, warehousing and institutional projects.
• Lead bid/no‑bid decisions, oversee technical and commercial tender preparation, and negotiate post‑tender contracts.
• Allocate awarded projects, ensure clear budgets, programmes and cost‑to‑complete forecasts, and monitor performance against revenue, cost, programme and cash targets.
• Own EBITDA and financial performance, control material, labour and supervision costs, and ensure timely invoicing and collection.
• Ensure accurate material planning, procurement, quality, HSE and regulatory compliance across all project sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 15 years' experience in MEP contracting with senior responsibility for a multi‑project portfolio.
• Proven track record delivering MEP projects in residential, hospitality, retail, commercial or warehousing sectors in East Africa.
• Experience with P&L/EBITDA accountability, budgeting, cost control and cash collection.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
