Head of Student Affairs

About the role

The Head of Student Affairs supports the Eldoret branch of AG German Institute to operate smoothly and professionally, ensuring academic and operational standards are maintained even when the Branch Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Branch Manager in day‑to‑day operational decisions and ensure smooth running of timetables, classes and examinations.
• Oversee daily branch operations, representing the institute professionally to parents, partners, regulators and visitors.
• Supervise teaching and administrative staff, monitoring punctuality, attendance, conduct and compliance with school policies.
• Manage student conduct, attendance and discipline, follow up on absentees, communicate with families or sponsors and ensure students sit scheduled examinations.
• Coordinate academic operations with teachers, schedule lessons, mock exams and examinations, and monitor student progress data.
• Handle student complaints and any other duties assigned by the Branch Manager consistent with the seniority of the role.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of work experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or coordination role, preferably in an educational institution or language school.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficient use of MS Office and Google Workspace, and familiarity with basic school management or record‑keeping systems.
