Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Trainer

About the role

Unity Homes is looking for a dynamic and experienced HSE Trainer to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive safety training programs across its construction operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess training needs and develop organization‑wide HSE training plans, materials, and presentations for weather days and stand‑downs.
• Conduct engaging safety training sessions for site workers, technical engineers, and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legal frameworks such as OSHA 2007, WIBA 2007, NEMA and NITA, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Lead incident investigations and promote a psychologically safe culture focused on near‑miss reporting and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing HSE training in construction or oil and gas.
• IDIP or IGC NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) and NITA registered/approved trainer with Train‑the‑Trainer accreditation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Certified Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Integrated Management Systems.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA 2007 regulations.
• Familiarity with WIBA 2007, NEMA and NITA standards.
• Proficiency with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• NEBOSH certification and Train‑the‑Trainer accreditation.
