Health Specialist – Adolescent Health, P-4

About the role

The Health Specialist (Adolescent Health) will provide strategic leadership, technical expertise and programmatic guidance to advance adolescent health within UNICEF’s global agenda. The role works closely with governments, partners and UNICEF offices to design, implement and scale evidence‑based programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical guidance for adolescent‑responsive health systems and services.
• Support development, implementation and scale‑up of evidence‑based programmes across sexual and reproductive health, mental health, substance use prevention and disease management.
• Contribute to global frameworks, technical guidance, quality standards and programme tools.
• Strengthen national policies, service delivery platforms and foster innovation and learning across countries.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in public health, global health, adolescent health, health systems, epidemiology, health policy or medicine.
• Minimum eight years of progressively responsible experience in adolescent health, MNCAH, health systems strengthening or related fields.
• Proficient English language skills.
