About the role

Nova Pioneer is seeking an enthusiastic High School Kiswahili and Christian Religious Education (C.R.E) Resident Teacher for its Tatu Boys Campus. The role involves delivering enquiry‑based, real‑world lessons that align with the Kenya curriculum and fostering a love of learning among secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Kiswahili and C.R.E lessons that meet Kenya curriculum standards.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the Learning Design Team to review and update lesson materials.
• Create a classroom environment that is developmentally appropriate, organized, and conducive to learning.
• Incorporate interactive technology to enhance instructional delivery.
• Set rigorous academic goals, provide effective feedback, and monitor student mastery.
• Implement consistent behavior management strategies, including rewards and consequences.
• Provide necessary accommodations and modifications to support all learners.
• Serve as teacher on duty and, when required, as boarding teacher on duty.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at secondary level.
• Proven ability to deliver enquiry‑based, curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Capacity to develop detailed lesson plans and adapt them as needed.
• Passion for fostering student curiosity and academic excellence.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting diverse learner needs.
• Willingness to take on additional duties such as teacher‑on‑duty responsibilities.
