Hotel Sales & Marketing Officer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales & Marketing Officer for a hotel in Kirinyaga. The role covers sales, business development, marketing support and corporate, events and conference sales, with a stated salary of KShs 20,000-25,000.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and business development: develop and run sales strategies to raise hotel revenue, occupancy, events and conferences, and pursue new business with corporates, institutions, tour operators, event organisers, groups and individuals.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Marketing and digital promotion: support marketing campaigns across social media and digital channels, create and coordinate promotions for rooms, conference facilities, events, restaurant and packages, and monitor engagement and bookings.
• Corporate, events and conference sales: market the hotel to corporates, NGOs, government institutions and event planners, follow up leads for conferences, meetings, weddings and private functions, and prepare packages, quotations and proposals within approved guidelines.
• Market development and customer relationships: conduct market research on customer needs, competitors and pricing, maintain a client and lead database, gather customer feedback and share recommendations with management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant sales and marketing experience.
• Previous experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is mandatory.
• Experience in hotel sales, corporate sales, conference sales, events or hospitality marketing is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Kirinyaga market and surrounding areas is an added advantage.
