Housekeeping Supervisor – Machakos

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead a team of housekeeping staff to maintain high cleanliness and service standards across guest rooms, conference facilities and public areas in a 4‑star hotel environment. You will coordinate daily operations, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and act as the primary point of contact for guest housekeeping concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule and assign tasks to room attendants, public area attendants and laundry staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and deliver training on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Inspect rooms, conference halls and public areas regularly; oversee deep‑cleaning projects and special assignments.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report maintenance issues.
• Collaborate with front desk, maintenance and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Assist in budget management, cost control and compliance with health, safety and chemical handling regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a 4‑star hotel.
• Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field (essential).
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Materials Control (MC) systems.
• Experience using OPERA software.
