About the role
The Human Resource Assistant supports the full spectrum of HR functions for our Nairobi office. This fixed‑term position focuses on maintaining employee records, facilitating recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate hard‑copy and electronic employee files, including recruitment, contracts, performance reviews and exit documentation.
- Provide administrative support for recruitment: post adverts, schedule interviews, prepare interview materials and conduct initial document checks.
- Coordinate new‑hire onboarding, open personal files, arrange induction schedules and monitor probationary reviews.
- Manage staff off‑boarding, process clearance forms and assist employees with exit‑related claims (NSSF, provident fund, payslips, P9 forms).
- Collect, verify and file monthly timesheets, support Finance in payroll preparation.
- Facilitate registration and removal of staff from benefits schemes and process related payments.
- Draft routine HR correspondence, organise meetings, trainings and staff welfare activities, and respond to basic HR queries.
Required profile
- Kenyan national.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple HR administrative tasks.
