Human Resource Manager

About the role

Galaxy Hospital is looking for an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead and develop HR policies, procedures and programs that support our clinical and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding and orientation.
• Maintain staffing levels that meet operational and clinical needs.
• Keep confidential employee personnel records up to date.
• Design and deliver induction, training and continuous professional development programmes.
• Implement performance management systems, including annual appraisals and improvement plans.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee‑relations issues and resolve grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, occupational safety regulations and hospital HR policies.
• Lead employee engagement, wellness, recognition and retention initiatives.
• Monitor attendance, leave administration and enforce attendance policies.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce statistics and management dashboards.
• Coordinate succession planning, talent management and support external regulatory audits.

Required profile

• Senior‑level HR professional with at least 5 years (60 months) of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and health‑care HR requirements.
• Proven ability to manage full‑cycle recruitment and employee development programmes.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
