Recruitment Consultant – UK & International Markets (Remote, Kenya)

About the role

UCM is hiring Recruitment Consultants for its growing international recruitment team, covering UCM Education UK, UCM Middle East and UCM Global. The role is remote, full-time and based in Kenya, with UK business hours. It suits recruiters who source and engage candidates, run screening calls, assess suitability and keep pipelines moving; depending on the group, it may also include some structured outreach to target organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Sourcing candidates through databases, job boards and other channels
• Reviewing CVs and assessing experience, suitability and potential concerns
• Running screening and qualification calls
• Building relationships with candidates and keeping pipelines active through follow-up
• Communicating with candidates by call, email and message
• Progressing candidates through the recruitment process
• Maintaining accurate records in the CRM and working toward activity, pipeline and placement targets
• Where relevant, carrying out structured outreach to target organisations

Required profile

• Around 1+ year of recruitment experience, hands-on sourcing and screening
• Confident conducting candidate calls and assessing CVs
• Comfortable working at pace in a target-driven environment and taking ownership
• Strong spoken and written English
• Previous client outreach or business development exposure is welcome but not required
• Preferred backgrounds: agency, education, healthcare, international, internal recruitment, talent acquisition, recruitment resourcing, or HR/recruitment support with candidate-facing experience

Required skills

• Experience using a CRM, ATS or recruitment database
• Ability to work independently and follow through consistently

• Starting basic salary of KES 70,000–85,000 per month, plus commission and bonuses, reviewed every 6 months
