Human Resources Officer – Nairobi

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will provide timely HR support across multiple branches, contributing to a positive and employee‑centric workplace in a fast‑paced retail/FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment, including job ads, shortlisting, interview scheduling and candidate communication.
• Manage onboarding processes, preparing appointment letters, orientation programmes and contracts.
• Collaborate with area and branch managers to identify staffing needs and ensure adequate coverage.
• Assist payroll preparation by supplying accurate attendance, leave, overtime, bonuses and deductions data.
• Maintain accurate employee records in physical files and the HRMIS, updating transfers, promotions and exits.
• Monitor attendance and leave records, and support resolution of employee relations matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field (Higher Diploma advantageous).
• 2–3 years HR experience in retail, FMCG or similarly fast‑paced environments.
• Experience supporting HR operations across multiple branches.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong problem‑solving, conflict‑resolution and communication skills.
