Human Resources Specialist – Recruitment & Employee Relations

About the role

Hikvision is seeking a proactive Human Resources Specialist to lead recruitment and employee‑relations activities across its African operations. You will support the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with local labour laws while fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, from job posting and CV screening to interview coordination and offer approval.
• Conduct reference checks, psychometric testing and maintain recruitment records.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, grievance handling and low‑performance cases.
• Maintain HR databases, including immigration documents and employee records.
• Support onboarding, induction, probation reviews and exit interviews.
• Assist with payroll processes for the African region and ensure compliance with local employment legislation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of HR experience in Kenya or another African country, preferably within the IT sector.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of African employment law and payroll practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
