IFF Operator - Declaration (2 Vacancies)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring two IFF operators for its freight forwarding operations in Nairobi. This is a full-time, fixed-term position supporting airfreight operations.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all documents needed for entries are in order.
• Lodge accurate customs entries in the KRA system and share a set of the local COC processing with the supervisor.
• Support the supervisor with tax and fee computation enquiries such as KEBS, port health and radiation.
• Monitor Tradex/ICMS for passing and rejected entries, and reply to customs queries raised through Tradex.
• Keep customs files complete with attachments and share the local COC with the supervisor or port operations team in real time.
• Handle customs queries and support enquiries on documents, duties, requirements and regulations.
• Lodge accurate IDF's in the KRA ICMS system and PGA regulatory import permits and other consignment documents in the TFP-KenTrade system.

Required profile

• Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or a related field.
• EACFFP certificate.
• 2 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• ICMS training and password access (mandatory).
• Knowledge of customs procedures and Kenyan trade systems (KRA ICMS, Tradex, KenTrade).
