Incentive Communications Assistant

About the role

The Incentive Communications Assistant will support BOMA’s communications efforts from a primary base in Kakuma, travelling regularly to other field locations. Working under the Communications Manager, the role focuses on collecting, developing, producing and distributing high‑quality visual and written content that showcases BOMA’s impact.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and edit photos and videos in field settings to create authentic storytelling material.
• Produce short written pieces, captions, interview notes and field updates in English.
• Manage content on digital platforms, ensuring timely distribution to program, donor, partner and organisational audiences.
• Use basic graphic‑design tools to create visual assets for communications needs.
• Travel regularly to field sites and provide communications coverage outside normal hours when required.

Required profile

• Practical experience in communications, journalism, photography, videography or related fields.
• Strong visual storytelling instincts and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in dynamic field environments while adhering to brand standards and safeguarding policies.
• Good written and verbal English skills; knowledge of Kiswahili is an advantage.
