Infrastructure Engineer – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud and on‑premises systems for a global technology leader. This fully remote contract role focuses on ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement automation to reduce downtime.
• Enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.
• Design and implement disaster‑recovery and backup strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code and automation.
• Solid scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
