Inside Sales Executive – Readvertisement (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring an Inside Sales Executive in Nairobi on a fixed-term contract. The role covers lead generation, customer communication, sales presentations, closing deals and account management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead generation: seek new sales opportunities through cold calling, mail outreach, AGL CRM data and follow-up on inbound leads.
• Customer communication: engage potential and existing customers, answer enquiries and explain services and solutions.
• Sales presentation: create and deliver tailored presentations highlighting benefits and features.
• Closing sales: confirm rates and terms agreed with the AGL network, formalise them with a signed quotation from CZ, ensure KYC is completed for new AGL clients.
• Account management: maintain relationships with AGL and CZ, oversee information flow and deadlines, identify upselling opportunities and present offers to management for approval.
• Record keeping: keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and follow-ups in the CRM.
• Collaboration: work with the marketing team and the AGL Sales team to develop strategies and meet sales targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Administration or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in inside sales and the logistics industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented and organised enough to handle multiple accounts and sales processes.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools for tracking sales activities and customer interactions.
