Instructional Designer – Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

The Instructional Designer will lead the digitisation of learning content for the School of Sales Excellence, converting instructor‑led materials into engaging, LMS‑ready eLearning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing training assets (PowerPoints, Word documents, PDFs, manuals, facilitator guides) and assess readiness for digital transformation.
• Redesign instructor‑led courses into self‑paced, blended or mobile eLearning using recognised frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy and the Kirkpatrick model.
• Create detailed learning blueprints, including storyboards, scripts, flowcharts and interaction logic.
• Integrate multimedia elements such as simulations, branching scenarios, voice‑overs, graphics, animations, assessments and interactive activities.
• Develop and package content in SCORM, xAPI or other LMS‑compliant formats and collaborate with the LMS Administrator to upload, configure and test modules on the Britam LMS.
• Maintain version control, documentation and ensure consistent branding, tone and visual identity across all learning assets.
• Perform usability and accessibility testing, conduct periodic quality audits and recommend content refreshes.
• Engage with Subject Matter Experts, L&D trainers, HR teams and business leaders to validate content accuracy and align learning objectives with performance needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in instructional design and digital learning development.
• Ability to analyse, restructure and digitise existing training materials.
• Strong collaboration skills with SMEs and L&D stakeholders.
