Internal Audit & Compliance Officer - Energy

About the role

The Partnership Agency is seeking an experienced Audit & Compliance Officer to carry out and support its internal audit and compliance functions. The role helps ensure operational integrity, adherence to statutory and internal policies and continuous improvement of performance. It supports the Internal Audit Plan, conducts reviews and investigations and delivers recommendations in line with IIA Standards and company frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Execute internal audits according to the approved risk-based audit plan
• Prepare and present clear audit reports with key findings and improvement recommendations
• Carry out audit assignments and surprise stock counts across assigned departments
• Assess accounting procedures, internal controls and systems and suggest improvements
• Maintain audit records and follow up on the resolution of control gaps
• Conduct special audits and investigations as directed by management
• Support the Audit & Compliance Team Lead in assigned tasks
• Review business transactions for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Develop and submit periodic compliance review reports with observations and recommendations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in audit or risk advisory, preferably in an audit firm or reputable organization
• Certification such as CA, CIA, CPA (Part 1, 2 or 3) or ACCA
