International Consultant – Workforce Transformation & Change Roadmap

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an International Consultant to support the Regional Office People & Culture team in developing and implementing a strategic workforce transformation and organisational change roadmap for the Eastern and Southern Africa region. The consultant will translate strategic recommendations into practical actions, conduct capability and skills gap analyses, and create tools for stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse workforce capability frameworks, conduct skills mapping and gap analysis across the region.
• Develop practical implementation tools, roadmaps and stakeholder engagement approaches to drive sustainable workforce transformation.
• Support workforce planning, talent initiatives and organisational change efforts, including senior stakeholder interviews and validation processes.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in human resources, organisational development, change management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in organisational transformation, strategic workforce planning, talent management or related areas.
• Proven ability to integrate workforce skills, structure, culture and talent considerations into actionable frameworks.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities, including data analysis and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
