About the role
AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring an International Freight Forwarding Operator for airfreight imports in Nairobi. The post reports to the IFF Operations Supervisor and is a full-time position under a fixed-term contract.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the day-to-day operational relationship with clients: receive orders, ask for missing documents and further instructions, and inform clients of the progress of their files.
- Manage file processing: update clients and the IFF operations supervisor on progress, update the monitoring software with each file's status, regularly archive files physically and electronically, and ensure all required attachments and copies are kept on file.
- Alert clients to potential or actual operational issues and escalate issues beyond your control to the IFF operations supervisor.
Required profile
- Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding.
- 3 years of experience in clearing and forwarding.
- An East Africa Freight Forwarding Practicing Certificate is an added advantage.
