Warehouse Stock Controller

About the role

Fairoils EPZ Limited is looking for a Warehouse Stock Controller in Nairobi to build the systems needed to manage inventory and logistics from inbound to export. Current systems are weak, so the role requires someone who already knows how a warehouse should work and can take ownership and drive change with management's support. The person is the primary custodian of all company inventory, accountable for the accuracy and efficient management of raw materials, finished products, consumables and other operational materials.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily offloading, forecast volume, assign zones and set standard operating speeds for receiving and material movement, intervening when performance drops.
• Manage the daily deployment, maintenance and scheduling of vehicles and forklifts, supervise the team and act as first point of escalation.
• Maintain 100% accurate inventory records, approve purchase requests, investigate variances, run weekly and monthly stock counts and reconcile with the ERP system.
• Build a centralised digital tracking environment (Google Shared Drive) with real-time stock and movement history, author SOPs aligned with food safety, quality and compliance frameworks, and propose continuous improvement.
• Oversee inbound and outbound transit, liaise with freight forwarders and carriers, oversee the weighbridge, ensure customs and trade compliance, handle regulated materials and set storage protocols such as FIFO and FEFO.
• Produce weekly reports on offloading efficiency, fleet utilisation and transit status, give daily stock levels to the Factory Manager, document variances and keep external databases and ERP records in sync with warehouse logs.
