Inventory Accountant

About the role

The Inventory Accountant will ensure accurate inventory records across all company warehouses, supporting financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date inventory records and perform regular physical‑to‑system stock reconciliations.
• Lead periodic physical stock takes in coordination with warehouse and audit teams.
• Investigate and resolve stock variances, discrepancies, and unexplained usage trends.
• Analyze inventory aging to identify obsolete or slow‑moving stock and propose cost‑saving actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, audit standards, and inventory monitoring protocols.
• Collaborate with finance, audit, and warehouse personnel to continuously improve inventory processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• CPA (K) or ACCA qualification (fully qualified or final stage).
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in inventory accounting, stock control or audit, preferably in manufacturing.
• High ethical standards and strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP inventory modules.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
