JSS Teacher – Mathematics and Computer

About the role

The Mathematics/Computer Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, learner‑centred lessons in line with the Competency‑Based Education (CBE) curriculum, integrating technology and practical learning approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Mathematics and Computer lessons following the CBE framework.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching resources and assessments.
• Assess learners, monitor progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
• Integrate digital tools and technology into teaching.
• Maintain accurate learner records.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities and collaborate with colleagues and school management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Education specializing in Mathematics and Computer Studies/ICT or a relevant combination.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience, preferably under the CBE system.
• Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Professional and committed to learners' academic development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in digital learning tools and educational technology.
• Ability to teach Mathematics and Computer Studies effectively.
