Key Accounts Champion

About the role

Express Shipping & Logistics (EA) Ltd. is hiring a Key Accounts Champion in Mombasa. The role manages strategic customers, drives gross profit growth and coordinates transport documentation and reporting across the company's service lines.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers, manage feedback, complaints and compliments, and keep customers informed on shipments, services, regulatory requirements and operational developments.
• Ensure contracts and SLAs are current and effectively implemented, and identify opportunities to align services with customer needs.
• Drive gross profit growth through upselling, cross-selling and new business, across ships agency, forwarding, 3PL, logistics, customs clearance and related services.
• Ensure timely and accurate customer billing and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and an up-to-date stakeholder action plan, and coordinate transport documentation such as interchanges and container deposits.
• Monitor guarantee validations and follow up on outstanding equipment-related guarantees.
• Coordinate customer requirements across departments, prepare regular customer and portfolio performance reports, and maintain an up-to-date Risk & Opportunity Matrix.
• Undertake other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, transport or a related field.
• Proven experience in key account management, logistics, freight forwarding, shipping or related operations.
• 2-3 years' experience in sales, customer relations or operations.
• Minimum KRATI certification in EACFFPC or CCFL or equivalent.
