Laboratory Technician Intern

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a Laboratory Technician Intern for its medical equipment and laboratory supplies business, based at Eastern Bypass (Ruai). The role covers laboratory and technical support, product and customer support, and order and delivery coordination. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Laboratory and technical support: assist with equipment testing, preparation, basic operation and demonstrations; support installation, maintenance and basic troubleshooting under supervision; conduct pre-delivery equipment checks; help with technical documentation and product specifications.
• Product and customer support: understand the company's medical, laboratory and scientific equipment portfolio; help customers understand product features and applications; take part in demonstrations at hospitals, laboratories, clinics and research institutions; answer basic technical and product questions and escalate complex ones.
• Order and delivery support: coordinate equipment preparation and delivery; confirm that supplied products match customer specifications; support customer handover and basic product orientation; keep records of leads, quotations, orders, deliveries and customer follow-ups.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant practical or laboratory experience is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, professional, organized and attentive to detail.
• Strong interest in medical, laboratory and scientific equipment, willingness to learn technical products and develop customer-facing skills.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of laboratory equipment, procedures and safety practices.
