About the role
Meditest Diagnostic is seeking a qualified Laboratory Technician to join its clinical laboratory team in Nairobi. The role involves performing diagnostic tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping in a busy, accredited environment.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Perform a variety of diagnostic tests as required by the department.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment according to SOPs and daily maintenance schedules.
- Record test results, enter data into the laboratory information system, and assist with quality checks.
- Prepare reagents, assist in method validations, and support research or technical activities as assigned.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- Minimum 2–3 years of practical experience in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably in a busy or accredited facility.
