Lead Business Central Functional Consultant

About the role

Baran EPC, on behalf of BTN Group and its subsidiaries, is looking for an experienced, Microsoft-certified Lead Business Central Functional Consultant (MB-800). You will drive the end-to-end implementation, configuration and rollout of Dynamics 365 Business Central across the Group, then become its permanent internal custodian, owning long-term maintenance, performance optimisation and day-to-day administration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure a scalable Business Central environment where each subsidiary keeps its own independent books of accounts.
• Set up automated data workflows for group-level consolidated financial reporting and intercompany transaction matching.
• Lead the core deployment of Business Central modules, synchronising data with Microsoft Project Operations and third-party systems.
• Direct data mapping, cleansing and validation from legacy platforms and define the UAT strategy.
• Manage environment lifecycles, user licensing, security roles and tenant permissions across subsidiaries.
• Monitor Microsoft's major releases and monthly updates, run impact assessments and regression tests to avoid downtime.
• Audit platform performance, fix bottlenecks and configure enhancements as operations evolve.
• Provide Level 2/3 functional support and act as the main technical liaison with Microsoft support.
• Maintain Power BI dashboards, Jet Reports and Power Automate workflows.

Required profile

• Valid Microsoft certification as Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant (MB-800); mandatory.
• Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200) and Business Central Developer (MB-820) certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of consulting or internal lead experience implementing Business Central.
• Proven track record of leading at least two full-lifecycle, multi-subsidiary deployments.
• Strong knowledge of multi-currency setups, group consolidation pipelines and complex chart of accounts.
• Experience integrating with systems via Microsoft Dataverse, standard ERP connectors or API pipelines.
