Lead Mobile App Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Mobile App Developer to drive the creation of high‑quality Android and iOS applications for a global customer base. Based in Kenya and working remotely, you will combine hands‑on engineering with technical leadership to shape our mobile product strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Define technical standards, architecture patterns, and best‑practice guidelines.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Integrate external APIs, data sources, and third‑party services.
• Write and maintain robust unit tests and monitor live performance.
• Debug complex issues and continuously optimise code for speed and reliability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
• Proven leadership ability and a passion for mentoring engineers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a focus on delivering scalable, reliable solutions.
