Lead, Third Party Threat Assessments

About the role

This position sits within Client & Third Party Security (CTPS), a specialist unit of the Group Threat Management function at a major international bank. The Lead will shape and operationalise a new Third Party Threat Assessment capability, turning external cyber‑threat intelligence into actionable risk‑management actions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and embed a brand‑new Third Party Threat Assessment capability that integrates incident reviews, threat intelligence and continuous monitoring.
• Translate emerging threats—such as AI‑enabled vulnerability discovery and sector‑specific attack trends—into assessment methodologies, reassessment triggers and remediation priorities.
• Influence the design and implementation of a centralised third‑party risk management assessment framework, ensuring alignment with Information & Cyber Security (ICS) requirements.
• Maintain awareness of the bank’s business strategy, third‑party ecosystem, critical dependencies and the broader geopolitical and cyber‑threat environment.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed threat‑informed, intelligence‑driven controls across the supply chain.

Required profile

• Strong technical acumen in cyber threat intelligence.
• Comprehensive knowledge of third‑party risk frameworks.
• Sharp analytical abilities and experience translating complex threat data into practical risk actions.
• Proven stakeholder collaboration skills within a large, regulated financial institution.
