Lecturer - Pharmaceutical Chemistry

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, forward‑thinking, industry‑connected and student‑centric Tutorial Fellow to foster teaching, research and innovation ecosystems within the Pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will bridge academia and industry to enhance graduate employability and ensure sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Pharmacy units allocated by the Head of Department, delivering high‑quality lectures and practical sessions.
• Design, develop, plan and deliver programmes of study, including new courses at various levels.
• Assess student performance through examinations, OSCEs, coursework and practical evaluations.
• Supervise student research projects, dissertations and clinical placements.
• Review and update pharmacy course content and materials regularly.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues on curriculum development and research activities.
• Conduct research, write grant proposals and participate in consultancies.
• Disseminate research findings at national or international conferences, symposiums and webinars.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field; possession of a PhD is an added advantage.
