Lecturer - Pharmacognosy

About the role

Zetech University is seeking a strategic, forward‑thinking Lecturer in Pharmacognosy to lead teaching, research and innovation activities within the Pharmacy department. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality education and fostering graduate employability.

Key responsibilities

• Teach allocated Pharmacy units, delivering lectures and practical sessions.
• Design, develop and deliver programmes of study, including new courses at various levels.
• Assess student performance through examinations, OSCEs, coursework and practical evaluations.
• Supervise student research projects, dissertations and clinical placements.
• Review and update course content regularly.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and research activities.
• Conduct research, write grant proposals and participate in consultancies.
• Disseminate research findings at national or international conferences and webinars.
• Provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in a related field; PhD is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge academia and industry and enhance graduate employability.
• Experience in teaching, curriculum design and supervising research projects.
• Strong record of research activity and grant writing.
