Logistics Assistant (IRS) – Busia & Siaya, Kenya

About the role

The Logistics Assistant will support warehouse operations for indoor residual spraying (IRS) activities in Busia and Siaya counties. Working under the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure timely receipt, storage, and distribution of IRS commodities to field sites.

Key responsibilities

• Receive IRS commodities at the warehouse and distribute them to operation site stores.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, verify ledger books, and report discrepancies.
• Prepare daily vehicle log sheets and coordinate vehicle movement plans with the Senior IRS Coordinator.
• Collect and store used insecticide sachets, bottles, and PPE in county central stores.
• Plan and project logistics needs, ensuring restocking of insecticides and IRS materials before stock depletion.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in logistics, procurement, supplies management or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience handling logistics and procurement in an established organization.
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili; ability to work long hours and six days a week.
• Physically fit, able to stand and walk for long periods, and willing to undergo a medical examination.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of logistics and procurement processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures consistently.
