Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Integrity & Turnaround

About the role
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for implementing and sustaining maintenance, mechanical integrity, reliability, and turnaround processes at a PSM‑covered chemical manufacturing facility. The role works closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, inspectors, vendors and contractors to ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective plant operations.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain maintenance, mechanical integrity and reliability programs in line with RAGAGEP principles and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Mechanical Integrity standards and support audits.
- Develop procedures, training materials and documentation to meet regulatory and company standards.
- Maintain equipment design records, inspection logs, preventive‑maintenance schedules and asset documentation for vessels, piping, pressure safety valves, tanks, HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, containment and drainage systems.
- Review inspection results, identify deficiencies and create engineering recommendations and corrective action plans.
- Lead turnaround and outage planning, preparing scopes, schedules, bid packages, RFQs and execution plans.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, inspection resources and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Manage procurement, material handling, cost control and monitor project performance, inventories and contractor productivity.
- Provide technical support for facility improvements, reliability initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical integrity, reliability engineering, turnaround coordination or project management.
- Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, manufacturing or other PSM‑regulated environments is preferred.
