About the role
The Institute of Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) Africa is looking for a Manager, Transport Finance to lead sustainable transport financing across African cities. The role sits at the intersection of transport planning, public finance, development finance and climate policy.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and refine financial models for public transport, electrification, walking and cycling projects.
- Advise governments and partners on funding mechanisms, blended finance and PPP structures.
- Support project preparation and make programmes investment‑ready.
- Build and maintain relationships with multilateral development banks, climate funds and private investors.
Required profile
- At least ten years of experience in transport or infrastructure finance.
- Strong understanding of development finance, blended finance and PPPs in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
- Proven ability to lead technical and strategic financing initiatives.
