Marketing & Business Development Officer – Healthcare Experience Preferred

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Business Development Officer to drive corporate health solutions for our Nairobi branch. The role blends field sales, corporate account management and community outreach within the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and build a pipeline of corporate prospects such as manufacturers, logistics firms, schools, hotels and SMEs.
• Originate, negotiate and close contracts for staff health screening, occupational health (DOSH), food‑handler certification and corporate outpatient services.
• Maintain and grow existing corporate accounts through renewal management, annual screening calendars and upselling of additional services.
• Coordinate on‑site corporate screening events, working closely with clinical and front‑office teams.
• Support empanelment applications with insurers and TPAs, nurture relationships with brokers and agents, and drive patient volume through empanelled schemes.
• Plan and execute local activations, outreach camps and partnerships with community groups, churches, schools and estates.
• Manage branch‑level offline marketing materials and contribute local content to central digital campaigns.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, corporate sales or field marketing, preferably within pharmaceuticals, medical insurance, diagnostics or related healthcare services.
• Proven track record of generating new business and naming accounts you have opened.
• Strong knowledge of the Kenyan corporate health landscape or ability to learn it quickly.
• Excellent spoken and written English, fluent Kiswahili; Mandarin is a strong advantage.
• Degree or diploma in marketing, business, communications or a health‑related field.
• Self‑directed, resilient, with a clean conduct record and verifiable references; a valid driving licence is an advantage.
