Material Controller – Contract and Supplier Performance

About the role

Kenya Airways is seeking a Material Controller to manage contract and supplier performance for aircraft parts and maintenance supplies. The role ensures the smooth supply of materials in line with maintenance requirements and budget, supporting the airline's operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Drive contract negotiations by analysing and reviewing material data.
• Operationalise existing contracts and agreements.
• Monitor and control contract performance, including CSP, PBH’s, GTA’s and ad‑hoc agreements.
• Generate regular management reports on contract and material cost performance.
• Review and manage material costs to ensure alignment with budgetary targets.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material cost control, preferably within aircraft maintenance or a technical field.
• Experience in contract management and inventory management.
• Knowledge of aircraft components, maintenance documentation (IPC, RSPL, AMM, SBs) and airworthiness certification (EASA, FAA, KCAA).
• Familiarity with lean techniques and relevant industry regulations (IATA resolutions, customs).
